whats american again?

ive been accused of.
“anti-patriotic”
“un-american”
by a lot of people.
people close to me.
people who dont even know me.
maybe even as you read the remainder of this blog.
you might get the same ideas.
but i any sort of defense.
i love this country.
for perhaps stronger reasons then flying a flag.
put a bumper sticker on my car
or wearing a shirt that says i love the usa.
its much stronger.
see in rebuttle to those who call me un-patriotic
i have a simple rebuttle.
What is Patriotism?
Who gave you the ability to diagnose that?
and in response to those who claim im

What is American?
What makes america america?
Everytime you ask someone what they are
People will respond.
Polish-Irsish-Italian-Swedish-Angolan-Navajo-Ancient Egyptian.
But American.
Nah.
thats played.
So wheres your patriotism now?
your americanism?
i may not slap a bumper sticker on my car.
or fly a flag.
but im proud to speak my mind.
thats american.
thats how this country in a way started.
thats patriotic to me.

Why this is bitting America in the ass?

Ok so after a soccer and work filled weekend i make it back to my personal blog. With the school beginning again….idk how much i will have to devote to it but ill try and make the casual post. The continuing lack of attention to the situation in the west bank is at a fever pitch. Now with the Golden Globes (i thought they got rid of those) the assent of a new American President and a few other things (like bears) seem to be on the minds of most locals and America. Now dont get me wrong…..but i get the feeling this event that i have been blogging about seems to be out of the loop not because of its noteworthiness but because of its extreme complexity.Now im no scholar on foreign policy nor am i a muslim or jewish or catholic or christian. so neutral i think is something i can do when i TRY! to explain this.

Here it goes.

This WHOLE conflict has 2 main problems. 1) Clashing Religions and 2) The “new” country of Israel.

Now in 1946 with the end of WWII and the massacring and dispersement of Jews through various nations, the UN headed by the United States, Great Britain and Russia needed to kinda give the Jewish people a “home”. With these big 3 in there corner the Jewish nation seeked an area in the holiest of city’s. Jerusalem. To comply they removed the Country of Palestine from its location moved it to just right next to Jerusalem. This i believe is the beginning of the problem. Its like if some one wanted your house.You say no and later that day3 armed bullies came in and “peacefully” moved you next door to a tin shack. After this it was pretty much a given that there was no way that the Middle East would ever be the same. Heres where conflicting religions come in. THE ENTIRE middle east and the Arabian peninsula IS and WILL more then likely remain Muslim. So in the mid-50’s early 60’s we see a JEWISH state in precisely this volatile area. You would think this would be like feeding a cat to the alligators right? Wrong. The US Army took out LUCRATIVE contracts on arming the Israel Army. Magically Israel went from a non-existent army to the 4th largest in the world.

So how does this bite America in the Ass? 2 reasons. 1) we now have a VERY well armed JEWISH country in the Middle East and 2) we have Muslim country’s watching Muslims get killed by American weapons.

730 to 10

Is it really fair? 730 inhabitants of the Gaza Strip are dead officially. Could be more? This all started when Hamas (the political party not the “terrorist” organization) launched a series of mortar attacks that killed 3 Israeli civilians. This is OBVIOUSLY not the way to go. Its wrong that those 3 people died in the way they did. This is Hamas thou. A political party that has as a platform to get rid of Israel. Don’t know how they will pull that one off? So instead of doing at least in my eyes would have helped the plight of Israel and appeal to the UN for an embargo or something. Israel goes of the deep end and starts sending in (American) f-15’s and other aircraft to bomb the tiny 3.5 mile territory that is the Gaza Strip. Claiming they where seeking to take out all major Hamas figureheads. Which where all conveniently located in…..Lebanon. NOT the GAZA STRIP. So with that said. Wtf is Israel doing? When the death toll hit 500 in the strip and 5 in Israel is when people started to ask. Statically Israel is killing 100 Palestinian civilians or targets for every 1 Israeli killed. I think its time to ask a few more questions and drop a little less bombs. Talk a little more, Fight a little less.

Jett Travolta or 650+ dead in the West Bank?

its pretty fucking ridiculous if you ask me. Out of all the people that who transit around me only 3! had any idea wtf was going on between Palestine and Israel. It seemed it was more important that Mr.Jett Travolta died. Don’t get me wrong its sad he died. Yet it seems like the media gave more importance to the death of someone like Jett then what is going on between Israel and Palestine. Which deserves a blog by itself. It seems like to me that whats going on in the West Bank can be slid under the rug almost effortlessly because its so inconvenient to open the can of worms that the conflict entails. Its like the reality of what is happening is hard to swallow. Lets face it where standing by as genocide (practically) is happening in a tiny 3.5 mile “territory”. And the best we could do to avoid it  is the death of a Narcoleptic who refuses to take his meds? (im gunna get blasted for that one) Bravo America! Bravo!

lepra pre-season post #1

I don’t need to tell you how important Newells old boys is but our club indubitably going thru a change. With departure of dictatorial like President Eduardo Lopez aka Osama bin Lopez. Our club is completley different.

Pre-season:

Today was the second day of pre-season the club worked in 2 turns morning and afternoon. Both with the emphasis on having a good pre-season. Around 32 players assisted to both practices and yes there are new faces. German Jaime and Federico Falcone both players from our very prodigious youth system. The club seems very tranquil on the pitch. Some time next week Newells will be traveling to Chile to play a set of friendly games.

Days of Our Lives couldnt do it better:

Instead of what i just wrote about making headlines a particular player is making our teams headlines. Cristian Fabbiani.  Fabbiani was payed today in full. His last 6 months of salary. Now its looking like Newells wants to wheel and deal with River about a potential transfer. Which would require Newells to purchase “el ogro” and sell it at a higher price to River. Thats not it thou. With Fabbiani being payed in full he can no longer ask for a transfer via an intermidary source like say, FIFA, AFA or ADJP because there is no real grievence with the club. He now just wants to FLAT out leave the club. Going on record today saying he was going to play at a 30% if he indeed does stay at Newells. My opionion. Just let him go. He did his thing played well and now he wants out. It will be a pity to loose him but i dont want a player that plays at 30 percent when there are tons of players at newells who will give 330%. Fabbiani is not a true Newells player. He doesnt feel the jersey. IF he does leave it wont bug me. IF he stays either he plays 100% or hes riding pine. Thats it with Fabbiani.

Other News:

Quiroga showed up at practice. Another players who is having a lot of problems with the time bomb that bin Lopez left. We have told Defensa y Justicia the owner of the players rights an extra week to pay it in full. Yet he has not been coming to training so that could be a problem. Oh well another player that i don mind if he leaves. Independiente want to sign Re or Schavi or Both. It would seriously deteriorate our defense. One of last years strong points. I know Scahvi wants out hes in the same boat with Fabbiani. I would be really sad to see us depart ways with Re. Hes integral part of the team.
